A  unique piece of New Zealand's heritage, intricately captured on a fused and slumped glass canvas. This design showcases the lively Kea amidst the tussock grass.

The Kea, with its vibrant green plumage, is the world's only alpine parrot. Its cheeky antics and exceptional intelligence, often said to rival some primates, make it a standout among birds. The Kea has been celebrated not only for its mountainous habitat but also for its spirited behaviors that both amuse and astonish.

Our glassware is a testament to the meticulous craftsmanship that goes into each piece. Starting with a hand-cut 5mm glass base, our artisans screen print the spirited Kea design. This piece is then fired in an electric kiln where the glass is fused and gently slumped into molds.

Complementing this is a stand, designed to evoke the curves of the graceful Ponga Koru, ensuring that your coasters are displayed in the grandeur they deserve. We laser-cut the stand in house from New Zealand made board.
